Meet The Doctors
Dr. Sylvie Lam is committed to delivering the highest quality care with personalized service. Her practice philosophy is nurtured through her military and civilian training with a strong commitment to excellence and integrity. Dr. Lam has provided comprehensive care in both government and private practice settings over the last thirteen years. Patients value her genuine devotion to delivering the best results, her upbeat personality and high energy.
Dr. Lam graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dental Surgery in 2008 and furthered her training through an Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) post-graduate residency at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (Dayton, OH) in 2009 before serving as a dental officer at the Pentagon Tri-Care Clinic. Since then, Dr. Lam has been in a private-practice, general-dentistry setting for the last ten years, delivering a multidisciplinary scope of practice with an emphasis on major cosmetic treatment, teeth replacement, enhancement, and rehabilitation.
Prior to being a dentist, Dr. Lam was a licensed CPA and worked as a public accountant for national and regional accounting firms. She completed her undergraduate training with dual B.S. and B.A. degrees in Biology and Accounting from the University of Richmond. She completed her graduated studies at the University of Maryland Smith School of Business, earning an MBA along with her DDS from the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery in 2008.
In 2019, Dr. Lam was recognized as a Fellow by the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction earned by only 5% of dentists nationwide for commitment to lifelong learning and rigorous examination. Dr. Lam takes pride on improving patients’ oral health, appreciation of dentistry, and creating new smile as an art. Her portfolio of cosmetic and major restorative cases is a showcase of her expertise and artistic vision.
Dr. Lam is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (ACD), and Northern Virginia Dental Association (NVDA). She has volunteered her time through various dental missions and not-for-profit organizations such as Operation Smile, HOPE for Tomorrow, and the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic.
Dr. Lam rarely has free time, but enjoys spending quality time with her kids.

Welcome to our practice! I have been practicing dentistry for more than 30 years and have enjoyed every minute of it! I love the combination of art and science in dentistry. The challenge of providing excellent dentistry and the satisfaction of meeting that challenge make each day different and exciting.
Equally, I love the opportunity to develop wonderfully rich relationships with my patients over the many years I’ve been in practice, and enjoy partnering with them to achieve optimal health. My team and I have created an atmosphere full of laughter where everyone feels comfortable and knows they’re in good hands. We all truly care about each and every person that comes into the office.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1978. Then I continued on to the Medical College of Virginia, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1982. I take a diverse curriculum of continuing education in both clinical and business areas. My staff and I keep up to date with the many advances in clinical dentistry in order to provide high-tech treatments and give our patients the level of customer service they desire. I have always felt that a commitment to continuous education is necessary to fulfill my obligation to provide optimal care for my patients.

Dr. Ngo is a Fairfax-area native. He attended J.E.B. Stuart High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Virginia Tech and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery, cum laude, from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He completed his General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dr. Habib is a Board-Certified Periodontist. After completing dental school, he obtained his Master of Science in Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Following this, he continued his education at Columbia University in New York City and received a Dental Public Health Certification. He then joined the postgraduate program in Periodontics at Columbia University, where he earned his Master of Science degree and certification in Periodontics.
During his time at Columbia University, Dr. Habib was fortunate to work with each of the university’s well-versed faculty members and receive training in all aspects of periodontology, including classic periodontal and implant-related surgeries. Dr. Habib’s training has provided him with the skills and understanding of what it means to provide superior patient care. He is able to educate the patient on the treatment plan so that they can work together to provide the optimal treatment for each individual. His areas of interest include soft tissue augmentation surgeries, dental implants, guided bone and tissue regeneration, ridge augmentation, sinus lift, laser-assisted periodontal surgeries, and wisdom teeth extractions.
When Dr. Habib is outside of the dental practice, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
Dr. Mina Nashed is a General Dentist who treats adults and children. He completed his bachelor’s and dental degree from the University of Florida. Dental school was an opportunity to develop many core values including compassion, honesty, and a hard-working mindset.
These values strengthened Dr. Nashed’s passion for serving patients and achieving successful dental treatment. The smile is a gateway to many life encounters, and Dr. Nashed aims to help every patient obtain a healthier and brighter one.
Dr. Nashed has the training to mitigate dental emergencies and aesthetic improvements along with comprehensive treatment ranging from annual checkups to more serious concerns. He is skilled in exams, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, implants, root canals and dentures.
With every clinical encounter, Dr. Nashed strives to achieve patient comfort and trust. Following these goals, he uses his dental expertise and creativity to help establish a detailed plan tailored to address his patients’ specific needs. For Dr. Nashed, these are key elements of successful oral health outcomes. Outside of the office, Dr. Nashed enjoys hiking, woodworking and serving at his church on the weekends.
Dr. Claudia Villarroel earned her dental degree in her home country, Bolivia in 1995 at Universidad del Valle, Cochabamba. She completed a post-graduate program on Oral Rehabilitation in Santiago, Chile.
In 2007 she completed a Residency Program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Howard University in Washington, DC.
“Dr. V.”, as most of her patients call her, has been dedicated to provide exceptional clinical dental care in the Northern Virginia area for over a decade, she took care of children at schools with Mobile Dentists; she was also a Staff Dentist and Patient Care Coordinator at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic providing dentistry to the low-income population and also worked in private practice. She enjoys working with both children and adult patients.
Her love for education encourages her to keep up with the latest advances in dentistry through continued education courses and due to her passion for service, she volunteers at the NV Dental Clinic and Mission of Mercy programs to help the community in need.
Dr. Villarroel is fluent in both English and Spanish which helps the Spanish community to feel more comfortable and have better communication.
Her mission is to serve her patients with compassion and care, she loves to educate them about their dental needs and provide the best of her experience to give them a healthy and confident smile.
In her spare time, Dr. V. enjoys spending time with her family and friends, she loves racquetball, cooking and traveling.
